Trail Story

For generations villages and small towns along the St Clair River have enjoyed stunning natural beauty, breathtaking sunsets and endless opportunities for recreation. Initial planning began in 1997 and in 2002 construction of the St Clair River Trail began with the vision to seamlessly connect communities on the river and give residents and visitors a full river trail experience.

The St Clair River Trail, now complete, stretches 35 kilometers from Corunna, south along the scenic St Clair River to Port Lambton. The trail provides access by foot and bike to a variety of activities and areas of natural beauty.

Feel the cool refreshing breeze roll off the river as you experience unparalleled views of the St Lawrence Seaway ships, discover secret fishing holes, or simply enjoy a family picnic at one of the 11 parks located along the trail.
